Coach Kara:
She has been involved with the sport of swimming for 18 years. She started swimming age
group at the age of 6 and continued until she finished her last collegiate race at the age of 22.
Since finishing her collegiate swimming career she has had the opportunity to coach at both
the collegiate and high school levels. She was the graduate assistant coach for her alma
mater, Northeastern University, a division one school located in Boston, Massachusetts and
more recently is the assistant coach at Peachtree Ridge High School. While she was a
student at Northeastern she spent two summers being a swim counselor at Harvard
University's Technique Swim Camp specializing in ages 7-10. She is a teacher, and has
been working at Mason Elementary School this school year.
